Hi all,

I have an experiment in which participants will be grouped into a group of two once they consent to participate. During the experiment, there are several sessions where the two participants in the same group will have the opportunity to chat with each other via a chat box. I used {{chat}} and the participants can successfully send and receive messages from each other, but these messages are not appearing in the exported dataset as expected. I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to ensure that chat logs are saved and included in the dataset export. I am using otree version 5.10.4. Thanks so much for your help!

the chat logs are available in the data export page. Scroll down, it's a separate link from the main data export.

Hi Chris, many thanks for your quick response. Can I export the chat logs if I am running a demo session? I cannot find the link on the main data export page. There is only Plain/Excel download link.
